We did it! We did it! Our first release is up! Download it, listen to it, download it again and then tell some friends to come repeat the cycle!

Hit a snag with the For The Kid in the Back stuff. Justin wanted to re-record it, so we’ll try and do that sometime this week and hopefully have everything to you by the weekend. But I said that last week, too, so we’ll see.

Got an e-mail this morning from Joey Todd in Saranac Lake about adding his stuff to the site. I think I can certainly oblige him.

Received an e-mail from Chris of Husbands AKA last night – once I receive artwork, we’ll have their EP up to post! I’m pretty stoked on that…

Just got an e-mail back from one of my favorite bands & overall groups of dudes from Vermont, Husbands AKA, who let me know that they’re down for sending stuff to Cool Kid City for posting. They’ve got an EP that should find its way to us shortly, and then to you.

So pumped! Really stoked at the pace that everything is moving along at, and I’m equally stoked at the bands & musicians who have agreed to toss their stuff up here.

Train Kept-a-Rollin’

Things are still going well in the first days of Cool Kid City. We’re going to be posting a 2-song demo from Madden Touchdown Pass in the near future! Just waiting on artwork and all of that exciting stuff before it goes up.

Also, For The Kid In The Back’s stuff has been transferred from cassette to computer, so I’ll start processing that for upload (hopefully) this weekend.

Crown of Lions sent me a message and let me know that they’d be down for jumping on board and helping…

Big First Day

So, today was the first “official” day that anyone knew about Cool Kid City. Turns out, it was a good first day. Here are the highlights:

- Recorded a 7 song EP with For The Kid In The Back. It will become the first release from Cool Kid City, and should be up later this week or this weekend at the latest. We recorded it direct to cassette on a nifty little tape recorder that this amazing lady picked up for me when she visited here last October. 5…

Hey there! I hope this will be awesome. It’s an idea I had (stole) from being a giant fanboy of Quote Unquote Records. They’re this incredible label in Brooklyn who puts out tons of awesome releases from tons of awesome bands. For free.

I know there are a bunch of cool bands in and around this area, so I wanted to do something along the same lines. There isn’t really any money to be made here, it’s just exposure and people working together. There’s always something stupid or shitty, it seems, wedging itself in between the bands in this…
